Foot Pain

The foot is an intricate structure with a total of 26 bones, 33 joints, 107 ligaments, and 19 muscles, and pain could be a result of damage, stress, misalignment or degeneration in any of these.

If you have pain in the ball of your foot (sometimes called metatarsalgia) this may be due to your foot posture or gait (the way you walk), the position of your foot bones, arthritis, a degradation of the fatty pad under your foot, a ligament or tendon problem or an irritated nerve among other possibilities.

We have the knowledge and tools to identify what is causing the pain in your feet and to address this to reduce your symptoms, resolve the issue and create a plan to maintain pain free movement. This may involve a biomechanical assessment and orthotics, an exercise protocol, footwear advice, or pain-relieving therapies depending on what the cause of the pain is.
