Diabetic Foot Screening

Our team is experienced in the assessment and treatment of the diabetic foot. Through regular check ups and screening we can help monitor, prevent and treat foot problems associated with diabetes. Our service includes the following:

  • A range of assessments to evaluate the neurological status of your feet and following NICE guidelines assess your foot risk status.
  • Carry out vascular assessments using doppler ultrasound to determine the health of the blood flow to the feet.
  • Use our state of the art pressure plate to determine if there are any areas of high pressure on the plantar surface (sole) of your feet which may be vulnerable to breakdown/ulceration.
  • Action timely referral to appropriate healthcare professionals should the need arise.

Cancellations: We may implement a charge to those who fail to attend their appointments without adequate notice. This will be a standard charge of 50% of the appointment missed and will be required to be paid BEFORE booking or receiving any further treatment. Adequate notice is at least 1 working days notice from the time of your appointment. Please call whenever possible to cancel so we can implement the change straight away and please do not email cancellations.
