Rebecca BSc (Hons) PGCert MRCPod– Managing Director
Graduated from Huddersfield university in 2001 Rebecca has worked in a variety of clinical settings and obtained her post graduate certificate in Clinical Podiatric Biomechanics from the University of Stafford in 2003 and more recently, her BTEC level 5 in Business Management and Leadership, CAHCE level 2 in Counselling Skills and in January 2024 was awarded her Level 3 in Effective Coaching via Leeds Beckett University.
Dedicating her time now to business development and her team she is also an active committee member of her local branch of the Royal College of Podiatry (RCoP). Over the last 12 years she has been committed to providing local training and events to support other College members with their professional development. Rebecca currently sits as Chair of this Branch and is also actively involved with the RCoP sitting on a number of other committees.
Outside of work Rebecca is busy with two teenagers and her dog Jasper. As a family they love walking holidays in the Lake District.
She is a keen fund raiser, running both half and full marathons as well as ultra distance walking challenges for a variety of causes.

Sue BSc (Hons) MRCPod – Clinical Development Lead
Sue graduated from Durham School of Podiatry in 1986 with a Diploma in Podiatric Medicine, converting in 1994 via Leicester University and Northampton School of Podiatry to BSc(Hons) degree in Podiatric Medicine. Throughout the 2000s Sue continued with her post graduate education at Masters level completing modules in clinical education, Podiatric MSK and ‘at risk limb’. Sue is an accredited clinical educator with the Royal College of Podiatry.
Joining the YPL team in October 2021 after a 35 year NHS career, Sue brings a broad scope of Podiatric experience to YPL including nail surgery, MSK, rheumatology, diabetes and the at risk limb. Since joining YPL Sue has added laser therapy, dermoscopy, KARDIA and gait and motion pressure mat analysis to her Podiatric therapy tool kit. Not only does Sue provide excellent clinical service to our patients, but has now joined the leadership team as Clinical Development Lead. Drawing on her NHS experience as a mentor running preceptorship programs for new starters and supporting return to practice after maternity leaves, Sue provides dedicated clinical development support to our team of Podiatrists.
Out of work Sue is a self confessed ‘Bird Nerd’ enjoying bird watching and bird photography, long exposure landscape photography and being outdoors in the countryside.
Sue is also a very good baker and the team are often treated to her bakes!!

Claire BSc (Hons) MRCPod – Senior Podiatrist (Selby branch)
Graduating from the university of Huddersfield in 2009 with a first-class honour’s degree.
Claire joined the York Podiatry Team in 2009 working in our Selby clinic, in that time she has developed her clinical skills in LASER therapy for pain management, nail surgery, verrucae needling and all aspects of biomechanics including sports injury and paediatrics having a keen interest in Gait and Motion through the use of the pressure mat and Materialise Phits 3D bespoke orthotic therapy.
Claire also has undertaken further study in Mental Health, as she understands that being able to treat the patient holistically can lead to far better outcomes, she is our Clinical Mental Health First Aider for Selby and is able to provide both the team and patients with advice or referral.
Outside of work Claire enjoys spending time with her family including family holidays, she has a keen eye for interior design and loves being outdoors with her dogs Rosie and Dora.

Elizabeth BSc (Hons) MRCPod – Senior Podiatrist (Selby branch)
Qualifying with an Honours degree in Podiatry from the university of Huddersfield in 2014 Elizabeth spent the early part of her career within the NHS focusing on New Patient Assessment, Clinical Biomechanics and student mentoring.
Elizabeth joined the York Podiatry Team in 2018 and since then has added to her clinical skills with LASER therapy for pain management, verrucae treatments and Gait and Motion pressure mat analysis within clinical biomechanics.
Drawing on her NHS student mentoring Elizabeth recently mentored Simone through her Assistant Podiatry training and continues to offer support and advice to the team.
Recently her eldest son has moved away to follow a career path in orthopaedic shoe making which has enabled Elizabeth to get a greater understanding in footwear both in how it fits and functions.
Outside of work Elizabeth enjoys a busy home life, and is a keen photographer with a few of her pictures on display in the Selby clinic. Any further free time is spent in the garden or helping out with her husband on the allotment or drawing and sketching from life.

Alex BSc (Hons) MRCPod – Senior Podiatrist (Selby branch)
Joining the York Podiatry Team in 2017 Alex Graduated from the University of Huddersfield with a first class honours degree. Working at the Selby branch Alex enjoys being a generalist Podiatrist with a further interest in falls prevention and dermatological conditions. She can often be found with a dermtaoscope in hand and is our go-to Podiatrist in Selby for review of any unusual skin presentations!
Her hobbies outside of work include distance running, learning the Harp and amateur dramatics.

Camilla BSc (Hons) MSc MRCPod – Senior Podiatrist (York branch)
Graduated from Huddersfield University alongside Rebecca in 2001 Camilla obtained a Masters degree in the care of the Diabetic foot. Camilla went on to work in Sydney, Australia before returning back to the UK to settle in York and start a family. Rebecca was thrilled to have her come on board our team back in 2014 and is now based within our York branch.
Developing a love of all things dermatology, Camilla is our go-to Podiatrist in our York clinic when we have a lesion which we feel may need an expert eye and a dermatoscope cast over it!
Outside of work Camilla has many interests including family time, dog walking, gardening, running and wild swimming!

Evie - Podiatrist (York and Selby branches)
Evie Joined the team in October 2023 and brings with her a wealth of knowledge from both NHS and private practice experience. Graduating from the University of Huddersfield in 2018 with a Batchler of Science degree in Podiatry, Evie has subsequently gained a Masters degree in the theory Podiatric Surgery. Working alongside Podiatric surgeons in the Yorkshire area, Evie has developed a specialist knowledge base relating to the use and administration of local anaesthetics.
Coming from a family of nurses and healthcare professionals, Evie loves to getting stuck into anything Podiatry related and going the extra mile for her patients!
Outside of work, Evie is a true DIYer, having recently moved into her first home – she is enjoying making the space her own! She also loves keeping active, enjoying sports such as Yoga and snowboarding and having recently become a Puppy parent, Evie’s spare time is also spent with her beloved dog.

Simone – Podiatry Assistant at York Podiatry Ltd (Selby branch)
Since joining York Podiatry in January 2019, Simone has become an integral part of the Selby team. Having undertaken extensive training with the Royal College of Podiatry, Simone qualified as a Podiatry Assistant in November 2023. She is now able to fully support our clinical team carrying out a range of our services under their direct prescription. When not on duty in the clinical rooms Simone also works within our reception/admin team, she is one very busy lady!
Outside of work Simone enjoys keeping fit and spending quality time with her two children and George the cat!

Leila – Team Leader
Joining the team in 2018, Leila had spent the previous 10 years in the banking industry. Obtaining her Level 3 in Team Leading Leila ensures the smooth running of both of our clinics, supporting both the admin team and clinicians in the day-to-day running of the practices – We don’t know what we would do without her!
Leila has a busy life outside of work too with her children, crafting, baking and keeping fit and active.

Emma – Front of House (Selby branch)
Emma Joined the team in 2015 having worked previously in salon management. An integral part of our reception and admin team Emma ensures smooth running of the clinics in Selby and enjoys greeting all our Patients into the clinic.
Outside of work Emma has a busy family life with teenagers in the house and enjoys the outdoors, including cycling and walking. In her spare time Emma enjoys cooking and watching a good thriller or drama on TV. We can always count on Emma to give us a good critique of the latest gritty TV dramas!

Helen – Front of House (York branch)
Joining the team in early 2021 Helen has come from a background in Healthcare having worked in a GP practice for over 27 years. Bringing an extensive knowledge of front of house experience, Helen works in our York Branch covering reception and admin duties.
Outside of work Helen loves spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter and enjoys travelling and exploring the UK, baking and gardening.

Fiona – Front of House (York branch)
Joining the team in September 2021 Fiona is not only one of our fabulous reception team but also supports the clinical team to ensure the smooth running of our clinics. Having an extensive background in customer service, Fiona has recently obtained her CACHE level 2 certificate in customer services and is currently undergoing further training in digital business skills to support and develop our social media.
Outside of work Fiona is a keen traveller enjoying family holidays in the UK and abroad and is a fitness and craft devotee.

Debra - Front of House/Clinical Support (Selby branch)
Joining the YPL team in 2023 Debra comes from a background in education. Returning back to the UK from Australia, Debra and her family have settled near Selby and we are very happy to have her join our team.
A qualified senior coach in Horsemanship, Debra is able to transfer a lot of her skills and knowledge into her everyday practice at YPL, making her a huge asset to the team. Having now also discovered her inner love of all things feet, we are excited that she is now currently training as a Foot Health Practitioner!
Outside of work Debra is busy enjoying her love of horses with two of her children and collectively they have 3 horses who are very much part of the family. With 2 dogs, a cat and her family commitments she is kept very busy, just the way she likes it!
